The modern workplace is suffering from a crisis of context. The tools we use have reduced complex, meaningful human endeavors to soulless checklists. They meticulously track the what but are completely blind to the why. This fundamental disconnect — this loss of the story — is the root cause of project failure.
Project Path was born from this frustration. We were founded on a single, transformative belief: project management needed to be re‑imagined not as a list of tasks, but as a guided, intelligent journey.
Our Story: From the Classroom to the Cloud
Our origin is not a boardroom but a classroom at one of France’s grandes‑écoles. Kevin Vaughn, a professor and poet, repeatedly faced the same challenge: teaching brilliant technical minds the profound value of storytelling in their work. The greatest engineering feats are not just code and calculations; they are visions communicated clearly, teams aligned around purpose, and narratives held together from start to finish.
To solve this, Kevin designed the first iteration of what he called the Project Path Neural Network (PP NN). Initially an educational tool, it helped students structure projects as compelling narratives, linking every technical decision back to a core purpose.
What emerged was far more than a teaching aid. The PP NN proved to be a flexible, groundbreaking narrative AI — a way to bring clarity to any complex endeavor.
The potential was undeniable. Kevin partnered with one of his most gifted students, Pierre Clayton, a data scientist who immediately grasped the technical and philosophical implications of the PP NN. Together, they founded ProjectPath.ai with a simple, enduring mission: to help people with projects.
Forged in the Arena: Our Journey at Station F
An idea is one thing; building a world‑class company is another. Our acceleration came when we were accepted into the Fighters Program at Station F, the world’s largest startup campus. That crucible transformed an academic concept into an enterprise‑ready platform.
From Concept to Corporation. We evolved from an idea to a Delaware C‑Corp, establishing a foundation for scale with the support of a world‑class ecosystem.
From a Server to a Scalable Cloud. We migrated from a basic server to a modern, professionally maintained CI/CD architecture on AWS — delivering the performance, security, and reliability high‑stakes work demands.
From a Chat Group to a Company. Our ops matured from a WhatsApp thread into an integrated digital HQ on Slack, Notion, and Zoom — enabling professional‑grade collaboration.
From an Idea to a Sharpened Vision. “Help people with projects” became a focused commitment to high‑stakes, complex, and regulated execution — where our impact is greatest.
From a Tool to a Human‑Centric Platform. Inspired by peers in the Fighters Program, we created the Personality Sensitive Model — an MBTI‑inspired capability that lets our AI adapt tone, density, and management style to each user and team.
